World Record Event
With the opening of the newly expanded UCR Student Recreation Center, I advocated for experiential marketing by having UCR join in one of the most popular mass participation activities of 2014; popping bubble wrap. To promote the event I used print, social media, a press release and solicited sponsorships for this event marketing experience. I also orchestrated a phone call into the radio show On Air With Ryan Seacrest.
In conclusion, over a quarter of the UCR student population participated in the day's activities and we acheived in sharing the message that the Student Rec Center is a safe, fun and stress reducing place for all.

In 2015, I drafted a mobile app solution for UC Riverside students who needed up-to-date info on the Student Rec Center. Working with a third-party programing team and leading the solution as project manager, I provided insight, visual design, prototyping, user testing, user journey, information architecture and data analytics for the UCRSRC mobile app.
My communication plan for this service included print, digital signage, video and social media. Within the first six months of deployment, there were over two-thousand app downloads. Proving that the solution was much needed and welcomed among members of the UCR community.

As a self-taught freelance motion graphic designer, I became intrigued by motion graphics when it wasn't even a job title. I studied illustration and taught myself everything about this medium. Motion graphics takes everything I love about design and rips the lid off, allowing me to take a logo or illustration and bring it to life.
I'm comfortable in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, and I primarily shoot with DSLRs. I am proficient in portrait, product, architecture, sports, event and pet photography genres. I'm still finding my niche, but I find portrait photography the most rewarding. When taking portrait photos, I love images that are warm and soft or bold and daring, and often times having just a slight matte feel to them.
Working with Reach Media Network and UC Riverside's Information Technology Services (ITS), I welcomed the advanced technology of implementing HDMI over LAN. This provided us with the possibility of connecting a relatively large number of screens through the same local area network with HDMI connections.
Startech's HDMI over Cat5 transmitters and receivers were installed at each installation point and display as the university's ITS team configured a dedicated VLAN for the video signal. The end product was a clean and robust digital signage solution.
In addition to ensuring content, length, tone and style requirements are satisfied for each project, I ran point, and facilitated the exchange of information between clients and members of the production team. My job is to make sure projects are held to a high creative standard, delivered on time and stay within budget.
My years in web development experience with clients range from high-profile government institutions to small-business startups. I have the skill and knowledge to use server-side languages like PHP, Java and .Net to build an application, and tools like MySQL, Oracle and SQL server to find, save or change data and deliver it back to the user in front-end code.
I've written stored procedures as part of a bigger web development team, adding an extra level of abstraction from the underlying database schema. I've also taken on large scale front-end projects, such as my solo undertaking of building the UCR Recreation website.
Design theory creates value, and in my years of practice I've been fortunate enough to be mentored by designers who regularly uses design theory and can explain their thinking.
The final touch to the effectiveness of a great logo is color. Working with the right color palette, a logo's color can influence a mood and a desire to buy or engage. Colors like Blue are generally popular with professionalism and businesses, Yellow is often used to attract attention and Green often expresses life, renewal or opportunity.
I am proficient in a wide range of tools; Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Audition, After Effects and Premiere), Balsamiq, Axure Rp, XCode, Microsoft Office, Wordpress and Drupal. Furthermore, I code in HTML, PHP, SQL, CSS, Javascript/JQuery, C++/C# and ASP.NET.
